PONY EXPRESS RANCH – PARKER, COLORADO

Our ranch provides our children and grandchildren the opportunity to experience the western heritage. We’ve been involved in breeding and raising cutting horses, as well as competing in the NCHA/NYCHA for over 20 years.  During this time we have also invested in the cattle industry.  To us the western heritage is all about the wonderful people and amazing horses.

Today, our son Jason is attending Lamar Community College and participates on the Lamar Rodeo Team, (Team Roping). His degree will be Agriculture Production Management.

He competes in the cutting horse industry by showing, breeding along with having competed at the Colorado High School Rodeo Association.  He was also active in 4H by showing pigs, along with being involved in FFA and served as an Officer in both organization.

Our love of the western heritage has been in the family ever since our first experience many years ago with the Shriners Palomino Patrol.  From there, we were introduced to the sport of reining, the cattle business, and eventually cutting.

Our journey has come full circle as Michael is the now the Youth Director for the National Cutting Horse Association.  As the Director, he develops programs for the youth in the NYCHA and provides opportunities for scholarships, leadership/educational seminars, youth awards for accomplishments (Hall of Fame, Sportsmanship and others), and various competitions and activities.
